Due to strong wind gusts that are forecasted for our area this afternoon, Lexington County School District Three is canceling after-school activities for Friday, March 3rd. This includes all athletic practices, games, extracurricular programs, meetings, etc.
Forecasters anticipate wind gusts up to 43 mph for Lexington County beginning around 6 pm. Per SC Department of Education guidelines, public schools are not allowed to operate school buses when wind gusts are greater than 40 mph.
All activities and events planned for Saturday, March 4th will continue as planned.
