Valedictorian and Salutatorian Announced for B-L High School Class of 2025 graphic

Batesburg-Leesville High School is proud to recognize the top academic performers of the Class of 2025. These outstanding students have demonstrated an exceptional level of dedication, perseverance, and academic excellence throughout their high school careers.

Valedictorian – Ashlyn Elizabeth Smith

Ashlyn Elizabeth Smith has earned the title of Valedictorian for the Class of 2025 with an impressive GPA of 5.369. During her time at B-L High School, Ashlyn completed 41 total courses, including 22 Dual Enrollment college courses, 1 Advanced Placement (AP) course, and 11 Honors courses.

Salutatorian – Haylen Christine Cook

Haylen Christine Cook has been named Salutatorian for the Class of 2025, earning a remarkable GPA of 5.313. She completed 39 total courses, including 21 Dual Enrollment college courses and 11 Honors courses.

Batesburg-Leesville High School is also proud to celebrate the accomplishments of the entire Class of 2025, which includes 132 graduates. Together, these outstanding students have earned nearly $1.7 million in scholarships. Members of the class will be attending a wide range of colleges and universities, including Midlands Technical College, the University of South Carolina, Clemson University, USC Aiken, Newberry College, Erskine College, Lander University, Anderson University, USC Union, the College of Charleston, Arclabs Welding School, and Denmark Technical College. In addition, three graduates have chosen to serve our country by enlisting in the Army, National Guard, and Marines.
